On more than one occasion I have been charged by a Grizzly bear. On only one occasion I sold Arnold Schwarzenegger a horse-hair belt made by a prison inmate. I have filtered water to survive in the desert using a string, a rock, and a Gatorade bottle. I care a lot about making good work with great people, and less about being personally recognized for it.  

 
 
 

Experience

Creative/civilian

7+ years in agency roles, and 10+ as a freelancer. After my first graphic design class in high-school I bought a Linda subscription, devoured everything Adobe CS related, and got the custodial staff to let me into the school computer lab after-hours so I could practice and do freelance work.

Military

6 years as a commissioned officer in the Army National Guard, following 4 years in the Army ROTC program. As an officer I held the job titles of Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Maintenance Control Officer, and Company Commander. My responsibilities included:

  • Managing the health and welfare of a Company-sized element (100+ Soldiers and officers)

  • Planning and facilitating yearly training for the unit

  • Tracking and managing the maintenance of over $3-million worth of equipment

Education

I went to Montana State University, and graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design in 2014. Over my last 2 years I took 24+ credits per semester, and worked nearly full-time as a designer. I got good grades.
