E3 Meat Co.
E3 Meat Co. is a provider of the highest quality organic Angus Beef products you'll find this side of the Mississippi. As hardworking ranchers, the team at E3 was looking for ways to communicate the quality of their product while staying true to the attitude and grit that defines who they are. My contributions included everything from packaging and apparel design, to UI design and social media management.
Problem
We needed to differentiate E3 from their competitors in a crowded market, and establish them as a premium, organic, angus beef provider. Their primary markets included direct-to-consumer sales, wholesale for high-end steak houses, and sponsorship of teams in the competitive barbeque circuit. We needed to work with elements of their legacy brand, and create a new brand image that would resonate with their current consumers as well as attract new ones.
An approach using a balance of grit and polish, which focused on the story of E3’s commitment to humanely producing premium organic Angus beef.
Solution
Corporate Gifts Webpage
While E3's meats were renowned for their flavor, their social channels were not. We seasoned their digital presence with custom type treatments, some clever copywriting, and quality photography. Their social presence experienced an increase of ~4k in organic follower-ship on Instagram in the nine months following the introduction of our new approach.
Social Media
Influencer Community
In order to convince a customer to purchase a $100 steak online, you have to establish trust. We recruited key influencers in barbecue culture to help spread the word about E3 through social channels and industry events. The most notable member of this community is Matt Pittman, owner of Meat Church and previous contestant on TLC's BBQ Pitmasters television series. Avid fans of BBQ and 'Meat Culture' have heroes just like any other fan, and by recruiting influencers like Matt, we established that serious barbecue enthusiasts buy E3 Meat.
